    • Here’s the info on the Sacred Hoop”
“I’m of Mohican Stockbridge Munsee descent, and the medicine wheel or sacred hoop as our people call it, holds many meanings. It symbolizes the fours seasons, the four directions and it represents health and the cycle of life. In some tribes black symbolizes victory, strength and success. The feather represents trust, honor, wisdom, power, and freedom. I grew up with medicine wheels around our home, they hold a beautiful meaning to me. This piece was created in a time of life when I needed healing, strength and freedom. I believe it will bring this same power into the home of whoever possesses it. I perform a small smudging blessing(with sage and eagle feather) over each piece in my Native language. I pour my heart and spirit into each and every piece I create. This sacred hoop is blending tradition with my own artistic expression as a Native artist. This piece is 10″ in diameter.”
